It is Friday! Well don’t tell the weather that. This weekend is going to start out bumpy however get better for the end. Also this is the big Mardi Gras weekend of parades.
Friday: Mostly Cloudy throughout the day maybe a few sprinkles towards the late evening. High temps will make it to near 70F by this afternoon and lows will drop back into the 50’s. Winds will start from the Northeast at 5-10 this morning and shift to the Southeast by early evening. Seas will be near 2ft.
Saturday: This is where the fun begins. There is a fairly high chance to see some Severe weather during the afternoon hours. The biggest concern is going to be from any supercells that form as the atmosphere has plenty of support to create rotation amongst them cells. Also has the front draws near there will be an increase in strong damaging winds. So there is the concern for Tornadoes,Damaging Winds and Heavy Rain for the day. Rainfall amounts may reach 3 inches in some places. Be prepared and listen to your local news for any severe weather warnings during the day. High temps will be near 71F and lows after the front passes will drop into the 40’s. Winds will start Southeast and shift to the Southwest and increase up to 18-23mph through the day. Seas are going to be near 4-5ft.
Sunday: The front clears the area and it becomes Partly Cloudy with a high near 60F. Overnight lows will drop into the upper 30’s. Winds from the Northwest at 15-20mph will lead to some windchill values overnight in the 20’s. Seas will be up near 4ft.
Etended Outlook: We have nice conditions through Tuesday morning and then the clouds increase as the next front approaches from the west by Wednesday bringing T-storms back into the forecast.
