2011 was a watershed year for metalcore darlings the Devil Wears Prada that kicked off in earnest with a Main Stage slot on last summer’s Warped Tour. The band followed that with its first headlining tour of Australia, and releasing the critically-acclaimed album Dead Throne in September, which debuted at Number 10 on Billboard’s Top-200 Albums chart. They closed the year with a massive U.S. trek that played to SRO crowds in 37 cities.

The upward trajectory of TDWP escalated with the success of 2009’s With Roots Above and Branches Below, that debuted at Number 11 on the Billboard Top-200 chart, and set off a series of events that lead to a huge break-out year. TDWP was voted Band of the Year by the readers of Alternative Press, went on to appear on the covers of AltPress, Revolver, Outburn, HM, and AMP, and sold out dates around the world. In 2010, they received a Golden God Award nomination, and released their first-ever EP, the conceptual Zombie EP, that gave them their first Top-Ten chart debut and rave reviews.
