Monday night on The Voice, Christiana Aguilera gave the audience a surprise. Christina was not only was she impressed with the audition performance of Sera Hill, but she grabbed the microphone, and joined in a duet with Sera in an impromptu duet. The audience was thrilled. Which song sparked all this interest? I’m Going Down by Mary J. Bilge was the song the Sera Hill chose and that Aguilera was itching to sing.
The shock on Sera’s face was obvious to see but it only took her a moment to compose herself. After a few lines the duet was sounding great, and ended all too soon. The audience was more than receptive to the song and the video already has close to 40,000 hits, hitting the number two spot onpopular videos.
After the show Sera said the moment blew her mind. “I’ve been singing Christina Aguilera songs since I was, like, 12. I did ‘Reflections’ one of my favorite sings of all time. For her [Aguilera] to say she wants to get up there and sing with me, it blows my mind”
Christina’s voice still gravels with the best of them and we are hoping to hear much more this year. The video link in the left column includes the duet at the end of the show.
