FOR LOCALS ONLY: Sunce Winery is hosting a special tasting on March 6th and 7th for locals only. Show them your drivers license to prove Sonoma County residency and you will be able to enjoy advance tastings of some of their newest releases and be able to place your futures orders. The event will be happening between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on both days. And; an added perk, they will be serving pulled pork sandwiches! How can you miss?
Sunce is an old world family style winery and makes superb wines in the classic Mediterranean style. They are a perfect paring with such typical Mediterranean dishes as Dolmas or Pasta with Mushrooms and Roasted Garlic.
And this just in: Sunce takes home the Gold at the this year’s prestigious San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition. Their Malvasia Bianca Port took a gold as did their 2009 Zinfandel, and, their SpiderZin Old Growth Zinfandel Port took a Double Gold. Now that’s something well worth some special persons Christmas stocking for next year. How about a bottle of that Spider Zin and a small wheel of an excellent Stilton for someone you really care about. Talk about love…
Sunce Winery is located at 1839 Olivet Road, (between Guernville Road and River Road) in Santa Rosa.
