The Towson Tigers ended their 41-game losing streak by beating the North Carolina-Wilmington Seahawks, 66-61. Their last win was last season when they beat La Salle, 93-90 in overtime, that win was in 2010. The Tigers are now 1-22 overall on the regular season and 1-10 in the CAA. The Seahawks are now 8-13 overall on the season.
The Tigers were down 32-29 in the first half but had a big second half scoring 37 points. The 66 points the Tigers scored was the most they had scored all season, their second high was 62 points which they had against the Manhattan Jaspers.
Tigers forward Marcus Damas led the game in scoring with 18 points. Towson had four players that had double digits in points. Damas was the only Tiger with a three-point shot, the lack of three-pointers has plagued the Tigers during their losing streak.
Seahawks forward Donte Morales led his team in points with 17, which was the second most points scored in the game. Morales had four three-point shots, which was the most by any player on either team.
