Corinne C. Theile of Los Angeles, CA has promised her 2,276 followers on Twitter that she intends to continue to wear a bikini whenever she travels by air to avoid TSA full body security scanners.
The 32-year-old frequent flier wore her two piece black swimsuit on seven flights over the past 12 months, and swears she will do so past age 80, to protest intrusive airport searches which she believes makes travelers uncomfortable.
Ms. Theile, who according to her LinkedIn profile, “has a passion for creating meaningful and impactful marketing campaigns that educate and connect consumers with brands in unforgettable ways”, also has made a lasting and unforgettable impression with other passengers since she showed up at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) on Wednesday, November 24, 2010, removing her long winter coat, and navigating through the security lines wearing only her bikini.
She repeated the media grabbing process again in 2011 at LAX over Thanksgiving, and has also been seen flying out of Sonoma County Airport (STS) and other California flight centers.
Her head turning flamboyant airport forays have been captured by network television and international media, including ABC News, NBC Los Angeles, San Francisco Weekly, and Britain’s Daily Mail, as seen in the attached slide show and video clip.
Some critics have charged that the woman craves attention, or wants to promote the soft drinks and other products that she managers in her marketing career, while others agree with and appreciate her TSA public protests as a means of combating “security theater.”
Ms. Theile has worked in the consumer goods industry, and has recently built marketing programs, sales strategies, and distribution models for Neuro Brands, billed as “healthy supplement drinks designed to sustain and enhance active lives”, for their initial market launch in New York, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and the Caribbean.
She has previously promoted Glaceau smartwater, Hotel Solamar, vitaminwater, 944 Magazine, Road Runner Sports, and non-profit organizations, including the San Diego Film Festival.
The multi-talented marketer also speak German, Flemish, and Spanish in addition to her Southern California English, and when she’s not rushing through airport terminals, competes in running events, and keeps fit by swimming, snorkeling, and playing beach volleyball.
That should help to keep her figure in shape for future press coverage.
