Sometimes, not even the emotions of a series finale can topple news programming and unscripted shows — and we saw that better than ever on Friday night.
- “Chuck” delivered a 1.3 for its two-hour series finale Friday — numbers that probably did satisfy NBC even while the rest of the season fell pretty short. Nonetheless, “Grimm” has posted better ratings at 9:00 p.m. Eastern in the past.
- “Shark Tank” and “Primetime: What Would You Do?” ended up being the one-two punch for ABC, who won the night easily in the demo among all English-speaking networks. CBS, meanwhile, won in total viewers with its lineup of repeats.
- As for “Fringe,” the show actually improved slightly on last week to score a 1.2 demo rating — though this is still not really enough to keep it safe from cancellation.
