Synopsis: “For the past year, rookie CIA agent Matt Weston (Ryan Reynolds) has been eager to prove himself while stuck cooling his heels at an inactive South African post. He gets the chance when Tobin Frost (Denzel Washington), a turncoat operative, is brought to Weston’s safe house for debriefing. But soon after Frost’s arrival, mercenaries attack, and Weston and Frost barely escape with their lives. The two men must join forces and try to stay alive long enough to figure out who wants them dead.”
In the Safe House clip, you can see Washington and Reynolds fighting while Reynolds is driving a car. The photos include some more looks at Reynolds, Washington, Vera Farmiga, Brendan Gleeson and Sam Shepard.
This is a return to action for Reynolds, an area where he has not had as much success. While he continues to be a box office hit with comedies such as The Change-Up, Adventureland and The Proposal, he has not fared as well with his non-comedy movies such as Green Lantern, The Nines and The Amityville Horror.
Meanwhile, Denzel Washington continues his career trajectory, as this seems similar to his other recent movies such as Unstoppable, Deja Vu and Man on Fire.
Safe House is director Daniel Espinosa’s first big budget movie based on a script by screenwriter David Guggenheim.
