‘Donatella Versace has made an art with the media lately. Her first alliance with H&M was a blowout success prompting the designer to release a second collaboration with the retailer this past week. Needless to say, the follow up was, yet again, swept away in only hours by fashionistas worldwide.
H&M is located in Holyoke, Massachusetts. Go to www.h&m.com to see if there is a location near you! This season designer’s are going towards the edgy and risk taker look.
‘This week launched the designer’s advent back into the luxurious world of Haute Couture since her departure back in 2004. The Versace girls marched out as a mob of “warrior woman,” as Donatella notably described it, taking the stage in gasping neon brights, unanimously slicked back pony tails and fiercely dark smokey eyes.
The collection suggested a sense of tribal futurism with corsetry and metal discs sculpturally shaping the garments into severe forms that epitomized the outlining of armor. The characteristic eye popping colors that opened the show eventually transformed into soft muted tones of dusty gray and lilac as the final looks took turn to the stage, a surprising yet uplifting evolution for Versace Atelier.’ http://www.masslive.com/fashion/index.ssf/2012/01/haute_couture_fashion_versace.html
