Ahhh-choo! Forgive me, but I’ve got a nasty cold. And a fever. And chills (cough, cough). It’s that not-so-jolly time of year known as flu season. The good news: eating right can help you ward off those bad bugs:
- Stay hydrated. Drinking enough water is essential – and it’s great for your skin besides!
- Eat plenty of fruits and veggies. Don’t assume that you’ll be bored by a diet heavy on produce. Oprah Winfrey’s celebrity vegan chef offers up a variety of tasty dishes in his new cookbook that made Oprah name him as one of her favorite things!
- Don’t skimp on protein. Whether you go for a vegetarian diet such as Alicia Silverstone or want to enjoy fish such as eggs, beef, and fish such as celebrity weight loss physician Dr. Pescatore recommends in his red-carpet diet, protein is important for your health.
And remember to exercise for good health as well. That way, you’ll look great AND keep your immune system in good shape as well.
