And although Atlantic City is not known as a family resort, that may be changing soon with the advent of the new Steel Pier. The new Steel Pier will be a family-themed attraction with fun for all ages. If you need more family activities, the resort town of Ocean City, New Jersey is a short drive south. Ocean City has great amusement piers and is very family-friendly.
The Atlantic City Boardwalk is six miles long. It’s a great walk or bike ride. There are lots of specialty shops and eateries along that six miles to entice you. The beach is large, clean and beautiful. You could take days just to explore the beaches and Boardwalk without ever setting foot in a casino.
Atlantic City has championship golf courses within a short driving distance. The Atlantic City Country Club, located in nearby Northfield, is just one of many. CLICK HERE to see the variety of courses available to you.
The shopping is fantastic down at The Walk, Atlantic City’s famous outlet mall. You’re sure to find your favorites here such as Coach, Nautica and Jones New York, all at deeply discounted prices.
