Hot on the heels of Warner Brothers’ WonderCon 2012 television events announcement, we have some more details for you on favorite shows that will be appearing over the March weekend right here in Southern California.
On Friday, March 16th:
2:00-3:00 Cartoon Network: Regular Show— Ooooohhhh! Come check out the most awesome Regular Show Q&A ever, featuring show creator and voice of Mordecai, J. G. Quintel. You wanna know who else is regular? (ok, we couldn’t resist). Seriously, come to the panel to hear what’s up with super slackers Mordecai and Rigby and more! Room 213
4:00-5:30 Exclusive Warner Bros. Television Screenings: Person of Interest and The Secret Circle— For the third straight year, Warner Bros. Television kicks off WonderCon with exclusive preview screenings of upcoming original episodes of fan-favorite series. For 2012, WBTV will screen episodes of the first-year hit dramas Person of Interest and The Secret Circle. Ballroom, Third Level
5:30-6:30 Spotlight on Wil Wheaton— The fan-favorite actor/writer and mega-fan himself comes to WonderCon as a special guest for the very first time! Wil talks about his mutli-hyphenate career as actor (Star Trek: TNG, The Big Bang Theory, The Guild), author, blogger, and pioneer Twitter tweeter! Ballroom, Third Level
6:30-7:30 TV Horror Hosts— John Stanley (Creature Features, 1971-1984), Mr. Lobo (Cinema Insomnia), Tom Wyrsch (writer/director), and Strephon Taylor (November Fire) will present a history of television horror hosting. Vampira, Zacherley, Ghoulardi, Svengoolie, Bob Wilkins, Elvira, and many more will be covered in a historical journey illuminating a genre of television that should never be forgotten. 6:30-7:30 The Science of Battlestar Galactica— Look past FTL travel and artificial gravity, and the science in Battlestar Galactica was very robust for television. 12:00-1:00 Marvel Television Presents— Be among the first to go inside the Marvel Universe on Disney XD with the head of Marvel Television, Jeph Loeb, as he presents the world premiere of the highly anticipated Ultimate Spider-Man animated series and a look at the premiere episode of the The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes Season 2. 4:00-5:00 Jane Espenson: Sci Fi and Beyond— A TV writing fixture for the past 20 years, Jane Espenson has written episodes for Sci-Fi and fantasy shows including Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Firefly, Dollhouse, Battlestar Galactica, Caprica, Torchwood: Miracle Day, Game of Thrones, and ABC’s current hit Once Upon a Time. Her work in TV comedy includes work on Dinosaurs, Ellen, Jake in Progress, Andy Richter’s Andy Barker PI and Gilmore Girls. Espenson has also made online inroads with Battlestar Galactica webisodes and her current web series, Husbands.
